At Ar-Razzaq Food Bank, we are committed to providing food assistance to individuals and families in need. Every month, we serve a variety of community members throughout the Greater Sacramento Area.
Our primary recipients are:
Low-income and refugee families - We provide food assistance to families in need of extra support, whether they are dealing with financial hardships or are struggling to achieve self-sufficiency.
Homeless individuals - We provide nourishment to unhoused individuals in the community. This includes homeless families and homeless seniors. Through street outreach, we have the opportunity to directly connect with individuals and offer support.
Homeless and at-risk youth - We partner with local organizations, such as Mustard Seed School and Wind Youth Services, to help provide food to vulnerable youth.
While we directly provide food assistance to homeless individuals, the food distribution process for families is done through the collaborative efforts of local mosques and social service organizations. Once we pack the food bags at Ar-Razzaq Food Bank, these organizations distribute the bags to families within each of their communities, ensuring that food assistance is provided to those who need it the most.
